ENVIRONMENTAL REPORT 2026
Organisation and Operations
Bädd & Bad is based in Helsingborg and sells products to hotels, municipalities and healthcare providers, among others. We operate primarily in Europe and also supply customers in other markets.
Our environmental work covers both the products we offer and the way we run our business. Since 2007, we have reviewed our product range, maintained a dialogue with manufacturers and suppliers, and developed our purchasing and follow-up procedures. Environmental considerations form part of our decisions on product development, materials, packaging, transport and energy use.
We use the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as guidance where they are relevant to our operations. Our work with products, materials, packaging and suppliers is particularly connected to Goal 12, Responsible Consumption and Production. Our work on energy use and transport also relates to Goal 7, Affordable and Clean Energy, and Goal 13, Climate Action. We follow up on our own measures and report information about them based on documentation from our operations and suppliers.
In 2014, Bädd & Bad received environmental certification. Since then, identifying and following up on the environmental aspects of our operations has remained part of our regular processes. We document our assessments and use them when developing our product range and reviewing how we work.
Our Significant Environmental Aspects
We have assessed which parts of our operations may be significant to our environmental impact. This includes purchasing products for resale, selecting suppliers and manufacturers, energy use in our own operations, and the transport of goods.
A large proportion of the products we sell are made by external suppliers. Working with them is therefore an important part of our environmental efforts. We discuss material choices, manufacturing processes, packaging and the documentation available for the products. During supplier visits, we follow up on relevant issues and use what we learn in our continued cooperation.
We also monitor developments in requirements and regulations that affect our product range. When new requirements are introduced, we review which products are affected and what information needs to be obtained together with our suppliers.
Products and Materials
When developing or selecting products, we examine the materials used, how the products are packaged and what information is available about their environmental properties. Different product groups have different characteristics. We therefore assess environmental issues in relation to each individual product and its use.
We are working to expand our range of products with relevant environmental labels and to review materials and packaging where changes are possible. When a product carries an environmental label, we specify which label applies and which parts of the product it covers. We distinguish between a product’s label and any certifications held by the factory where it is made.
We collect supporting documentation from our suppliers for product information and environmental claims.
Energy and Transport
Energy use at our premises is one of the areas we monitor. In 2024, we installed solar panels at our facility. We track the electricity they generate and our electricity use so that we can assess their contribution over time.
The transport of goods is another area we work on. In 2017, we established a warehouse in Germany as part of our distribution to European customers. This arrangement allows us to plan incoming and outgoing deliveries from more locations.
We also plan and coordinate deliveries. The environmental impact of transport depends on several factors, including delivery routes, modes of transport and volumes.
Suppliers and Manufacturing
Long-term supplier relationships allow us to maintain an ongoing dialogue about products and how they are made. We regularly visit manufacturing facilities and follow up on matters relating to their operations, product quality and environmental work.
Some manufacturers operate certified management systems or are subject to other external audits. We document which certifications apply, which operations they cover and how long they are valid. This information helps us assess a supplier, but it does not replace documentation about the properties of an individual product.
For our soap ranges, we also discuss raw materials, water use and manufacturing processes with the manufacturers. Information about the ingredients or manufacture of a particular soap range is provided on the basis of documentation for that product.
Responsibility and Ongoing Work
Marie Berg is responsible for environmental matters at Bädd & Bad. Our environmental work is carried out together with employees and suppliers and includes both ongoing follow-up and the development of our working methods.
In 2026, we continue to work on product information, supplier follow-up, energy use and transport. We also train employees on issues relevant to their work, so that environmental information provided to customers is based on current and verified information.
We retain supporting documentation for the measures and information described in this environmental report. Following up on our work helps us identify where we can make changes and communicate clearly what we know about our operations and products.
Summary
Bädd & Bad’s environmental work focuses on the parts of our operations where we can influence our choices and ways of working: our product range, cooperation with suppliers, energy use and distribution. This work involves gathering information, assessing alternatives, taking action and following up on the results.
We want to provide our customers with clear product information and continue developing our business based on the documentation and experience we gain through our ongoing work.
